Shawn grew up in the Metro-Detroit area. After graduating from the University of Michigan with an Industrial and Operations Engineering degree he relocated to Chicago. Over his 15 years in Chicago, Shawn has had the opportunity to call many areas of the city home including the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, South Loop, River North, Lakeshore East, Pilsen, and now the Western Suburb of Lisle. During his time in these neighborhoods, he developed an in-depth knowledge of the nuances and intricacies of each. So if you need a recommendation for date night, a place to catch the game, see a show, find a diamond in the rough, or grab a great cup of coffee don't hesitate to ask.

Prior to joining @properties in 2013, Shawn cut his teeth in Chicago as a sales executive and a restaurant manager and server. Shawn's degree in engineering shows that he has an analytical mind and is someone that pays attention to detail and gets things done right the first time. His previous sales experience helped to craft a professional with the tenacity and determination to fight to get the best possible deal during negotiations. Additionally, it has honed his ability to juggle many moving parts to see a deal through from start to finish.

Having been immersed in the Chicago restaurant scene at prestigious venues such as Blackbird, Maple and Ash, Henri, The Gage and NoMI allowed Shawn to further develop his people skills.  He is able to successfully work with a variety of personality types, act calm under fire, and deal with unforeseen obstacles that may arise during a deal.

In 2020 Shawn relocated to Lisle with his wife, Raechel. Since then they've welcomed their beautiful daughters, Kensington and Kwynn to the world. When time allows Shawn enjoys watching Michigan football (Go Blue!), yoga, eating plant-based food (a new development), taking his dogs Tito and Crosby to one of Dupage county's many incredible dog parks and spending time with family and continuing to explore the amazing Western Suburbs.
