River North
You will love the River North area of Chicago!
Chicago has many fun and diverse neighborhoods to visit and in which you can live. Whether you are renting or buying, you will find that the River North area of the city has quite a bit to offer. Years ago, this region was an industrial area, and then it became a warehouse district. In the 1970s, the warehouses started to close down, and this left quite a few large and empty buildings in the area. These buildings had large spaces for lofts and studios, and this created a place for many artistic types, including painters and writers, to live.
Over the course of the last three or four decades, things in the area have been changing and evolving. The buildings are much nicer than they were back in the 70's for starters! The area is now one of the top places to live in the city, a veritable cultural hub that caters to the artistic crowd. Whether you are an artist or a writer, or you simply enjoy the artistic lifestyle, you are going to find plenty to love here. Even tourists make their way to River North to see what it offers, and art is available in large doses here!
You can also find some of the nicest luxury condo buildings in River North. Some noted buildings are, The Fordham at 25 E. Superior, The Pinnacle at 21 E. Huron and 55 E. Erie to name a few buildings that are 1 block to world-class shopping on the Magnificent Mile, dining at some of downtown Chicago's finest restaurants, or strolling along the lake.
