Salem Lakes is a rural community that officially came to be in early 2017, when Salem and Silver Lake merged to become one municipality.
With a number of popular lakes in the area, the peaceful community offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, swimming and canoeing. There are also a number of parks with walking and jogging trails, such as Silver Lake Park – one of the top attractions in Kenosha County. Nature trails overlook the rolling landscape and offer a sweeping view of the surrounding area. Silver Lake Park is also home to an 18-hole disc golf course.
Annual events such as concerts in the park and holiday celebrations showcase the village’s strong sense of community.
