Ogden Dunes

Ogden Dunes encapsulates the hospitality and serenity of small-town living. Set against Lake Michigan’s scenic backdrop, the lakeside community is a popular vacation town in Porter County.

During the 1920s, Ogden Dunes was the home of a large ski jump that was used for training Olympic ski jumpers. The hilly landscape continues to be used for training local athletes today.

Ogden Dunes is known for its picturesque location. Surrounded by the Indiana Dunes National Park, the community is just minutes from activities ranging from swimming, boating, and fishing to hiking and birdwatching. The town is also home to a number of parks with soccer fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, tennis courts, and a trail that connects to the Indiana Dunes.

Local housing includes lakeside cottages, beachside bungalows, and modern single-family homes, many with beach access and views of the lake.

I-94 and I-90 make it easy to get to neighboring communities and states, while the South Shore Line provides train service to downtown Chicago.
