Named after a grove of sugar maple trees, the Village of Maple Park was originally known as “Lodi” before it was ultimately renamed in 1880.
The community is part of Kane and DeKalb counties, and is located approximately 50 miles west of Chicago, which can be accessed via I-88 or I-90.
Despite a rapidly growing population and increase in residential construction, Maple Park has maintained its small-town charm and quiet atmosphere. Shops, restaurants, and the village’s post office line the historic Main Street.
Since 1998, residents and visitors have been treated to Maple Park Fun Fest, which began as a local softball tournament and transformed into an annual festival with live performances, a parade, craft shows, food vendors, and fireworks.
