Fox Lake

Situated among the Chain O’Lakes, Fox Lake is a popular summer destination and a comfortable place to call home year-round.

The village’s population more than doubles during the summer with visitors enjoying swimming, boating, jet skiing, tubing, and wake boarding.

The summer also brings the Downtown Summer Art Installation to the village. The event taps local artists to create pieces based on a chosen theme to be placed throughout downtown Fox Lake. From June to September, residents are treated to the annual Fox Lake Farmers Market, where they can shop from local vendors and enjoy live entertainment, theme days, and activities.

The Fox Lake Metra Station makes transportation convenient for residents and visitors with direct access to Chicago’s Union Station.
