I have been married to my high school sweet heart for 20 years and have 2 wonderful daughters that are turning out to be just like me: strong, independant, hard working and sometimes a pain in the you know what. They are both really good negotiators and love redecorating their rooms.
I am not perfect, although I am a perfectionist... a constant internal struggle.
I love to travel! Every year we usually go on 2 vacations. Our summer vacation is spent with our Texas family. Our Christmas vacation is for exploring new places. We have honeymooned in Australia and have taken the kids to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Las Vegas, New York, Myrtle Beach, Mexico, Bahamas, and of course Florida. A few places on the bucket list are Ireland, Rome, Paris, Egypt and Alaska.
We have been to hell and back. When the market crashed in 2010, my husband (working as a carpenter) was out of a job and I was pregnant with our second. We nearly lost our home and had to file bankruptcy. Things happen in life and you fight to get through them. I understand the frustration and fear.. I have lived in Lindenhurst for 17 years and like to stay involved in the community. I served on District 41's PTO for 2 years, started a Girl Scout Troop when my daughter was young, was the Executive Director for the Lake Villa, Lindenhurst, Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serve as the Treasurer. I have also partnered with the Butterfly Effect of Maddox J. LoPriore Foundation and donate a portion of all my commissions to help their cause.
