I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years, and we have two incredible daughters who are turning out just like me—strong, independent, hardworking, and (let's be honest) sometimes a little stubborn. They're already great negotiators and love redecorating their rooms, so I think real estate might be in their future.

Travel is my escape! Every year, we take two vacations—one to visit our Texas family in the summer and another to explore somewhere new during Christmas. Over the years, we've visited Australia, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, New York, Mexico, the Bahamas, and more. Next on my bucket list? Ireland, Rome, Paris, Egypt, and Alaska.
I've been through tough times. When the market crashed in 2010, my husband (a carpenter) lost his job, and I was pregnant with our second daughter. We nearly lost our home and had to file for bankruptcy. Life throws challenges your way, and I know firsthand how stressful that can be. For the last 19 years, I've called Lindenhurst home. I love being involved in the community, from serving on the District 41 PTO to starting a Girl Scout troop when my daughter was young. I was the Executive Director of the Lake Villa, Lindenhurst, and Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and now serve as its Treasurer.
