I am a Real Estate Broker and a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My journey in martial arts began while attending the University of Illinois where I was studying Business Administration. Over the past twenty years, I have traveled across the globe, training towards mastery in Jiu-Jitsu while also building a successful career in Real Estate.
Through my martial arts training, I have gained valuable skills such as discipline, grit, technique, and problem-solving abilities. Jiu-Jitsu has taught me to approach challenges with a beginner's mind and remain calm yet always ready. I bring these same principles to my work in Real Estate and strive for excellence in everything I do.
With over 12 years of Real Estate experience, I am a proud founder of Urban Cube, a serviced apartment company in Hong Kong. I also served as the operations manager of a start-up property development company, SMD Group, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During my time there, I oversaw the development of raw land into properties with buildings for sale. My work ranged from volume rentals to multi-million dollar deals.
Outside of work, I am a devoted husband to Sally and father to C.Y and S.Y. We love residing in Evanston, Illinois.
