Raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, in 2004 Ryan moved to this great town and he loves calling Chicago home! He completed two years of undergraduate studies at Kennesaw State University in Georgia before finishing out his Political Science degree at Loyola University-Chicago.
One of his deepest passions growing up was playing tennis. It was perhaps fate (and a bit of luck!) that his first job in Chicago was with Midtown Tennis Club—the largest indoor tennis facility east of the Mississippi. His position and responsibilities grew quickly and within a year he was promoted to Sales Associate and led his team for 3 consecutive years thereafter. In 2009, he was named Top Sales Associate for Tennis Corporation of America.
After 5 years of accomplished sales work, he left Midtown to pursue his Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration at DePaul University, and graduated in 2011 with an MPA. During his studies, in 2010, he was selected to join 15 emerging non-profit professionals for a grassroots exchange program funded by the U.S State Department.
The group assisted in the development of a user-friendly, interactive website to engage young professionals on climate initiatives, environmental news, and mutual ‘green’ interests between Turkey and the United States. The opportunity was life changing, and Ryan returned home to earn his ESL Teaching Certification and moved back to Turkey for a year to accept a 1st grade English teaching position with Istanbul International School.
Following this interesting and diverse journey, Ryan decided to combine his love of Chicago with helping people and earned his real estate license and accepted a broker position with Prudential Rubloff Properties in April 2013. In January 2014, he was asked to join The Long Group with Jennifer Long and is excited about this new step as an @properties broker.
