Originally from Shelbyville, Indiana, enlisted in the U.S. Army right after graduating from Shelbyville High School in 1989. Served over six years as an enlisted soldier in the Military Intelligence Corps. Reveived a Green-to-Gold scholarship and graduated from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1998. Served as an Aviation Branch officer and UH-60 Blackhawk pilot until retiring in 2016. Served in mulitple overseas assignments including Korea, Germany, Mali, Honduras, and Afghanistan to name a few. Fun fact...been to every continent except Antarctica!
