Raised in a real estate family, Caroline continues a legacy of superior real estate services. Born and raised in Libertyville, Caroline’s grandparents opened one of the first brokerages in 1957, called Libertyville Realty. Soon after, her father, John Cerbus, opened his own brokerage on the same street as her grandparents’, named John Cerbus Realty. Her mother, Louise Cerbus, sold real estate with her father until his retirement in 1999. She then continued selling for another local brokerage until her own retirement in 2015. Needless to say, Caroline has deep roots in real estate and now carries the family torch, grounded in hard work, integrity, and superior service to her clients.
Caroline holds a master’s degree in Corporate Communication from DePaul University and has worked as a digital marketing executive for the past 20 years, both on the agency side and within Fortune 100 companies. Caroline prides herself on building relationships, leading with integrity, and working tirelessly for her clients—traits of a successful real estate professional that she proudly upholds. Most recently, Caroline spent three years assisting her husband, a local residential real estate developer. Adding to her skillset, Caroline gained extensive experience with new construction projects from concept to completion. Working with architects, engineers, and general contractors has become a major focus, and with that, she understands not only what’s on the surface of a home but also what lies beneath. This unique experience and rare skill set bolsters her commitment to providing her clients with best-in-class service.
Caroline has two college-aged children, whom she raised in the Lake Zurich community and District 95 schools. Her family currently resides in North Barrington, and she enjoys playing golf, running, and cooking.
