I was raised in Birmingham, MI, where my family owned a small business serving the local community and beyond. The Little Professor Bookstore (and after a name change - Maximus and Co. Booksellers) was a beloved cultural hub for the whole region. My two sisters and I worked and read there, and I loved participating in it.
My real estate journey began at the ripe old age of 16 when I took an after-school/weekend job outside of the bookstore as the assistant to the assistant of a top-producing local agent. I ran around town delivering and collecting documents to and from other brokers, did paperwork and filing, made flyers, washed her car, and took her dog to the groomer. It was fun and busy and I loved it.
Naturally, I obtained my real estate license as a young woman and relished learning and growing a thriving business. Driven by a passion for growth and always eager to embrace new challenges, my real estate career continued to unfold with roles such as Relocation Director and then General Manager for a rapidly expanding real estate services company.
In 2003, my husband and I moved our young family to the picturesque mountain town of Evergreen, CO. An opportunity presented itself to me, and I switched careers to the financial sector as an investment banker, specializing in lower-middle-market mergers and acquisitions; another career I loved and gained invaluable experience in for several years. At a time when my firm was shifting in focus, I was ready to return to my roots, rekindling my love for working with real estate sellers and buyers, and I earned my Broker's license in the state of Colorado.
With a long-standing dream of returning to the Great Lakes State, and our youngest off to college, in 2022 we embarked on a new chapter, excited to start afresh where it all began. I brought a wealth of knowledge and experience back to a place that holds special significance for me.
