Chicagoland native Monica Childs moved to the North Shore soon after meeting her husband, who grew up in Glencoe and introduced her to the area. She recalls, "I still vividly remember driving to meet my husband's parents for the first time and we drove up Sheridan Road from the city. I couldn't stop looking out the window. I loved all of the trees, the lakeshore, and the houses were incredible!"
Fast forward almost 30 years, three children and 13 moves later, and Monica is still in awe of the community that she lives and works in. "It's such a pleasure to be a broker here. The North Shore has so much to offer, from top schools to beautiful parks, and great downtown areas for shopping and dining. It's an easy lifestyle to sell! I still go out of my way to drive past the lake every chance I get. I feel so fortunate to live here."
Through her personal experience of buying, selling, and renovating homes, Monica gained a unique perspective on the real estate business and North Shore living. She put her real estate knowledge and design expertise to work, and her real estate career quickly took off. Monica was named Rookie of the Year for the entire Chicagoland area and consistently ranks among the top brokers in the North Shore year after year. Her clients appreciate her quick responses, thoughtful advice, and her high energy. "I love my job and it shows. I'll do whatever I can to help my sellers get their houses ready for the market. I've made curtains, cleaned up kitchens, and brought my own furniture over for staging. I'm truly full service," Monica says with a smile.
Monica is a past president of the Woman's Club of Wilmette, served on the Harper School PTO, and is a supporter of Misericordia. She has lived in Wilmette, Glencoe and Northbrook and currently resides in Winnetka.
