Gary moved to the Boyne City area in 1986 having come from Ohio where he was raised. He graduated from Bowling Green State University where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and moved to Toledo for a number of years before finding out that Northern Michigan was an incredible place to live. He still is amazed at the beauty he is able to enjoy after 37 years just walking through town overlooking these beautiful lakes.
Since his arrival in town, he took up a career in real estate sales and excelled over the years. Within a few years, he was voted "REALTOR of the Year for Antrim Charlevoix Kalkaska Board of REALTORS, and eventually became a director for the Michigan Association of REALTORS. In time he became the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Resort Properties in Boyne City and retained that business for twenty five years. He sold his interest in that company so that he could concentrate on helping clients instead of running a business.
He knows the area well and has sold properties all over northwestern lower Michigan including Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Emmet, Cheboygan and Otsego Counties as well as a number of Michigan properties outside his local area in lower Michigan.
Over the years he honed his skills by connecting with all customers and clients regardless their needs or price range and continues to do so today. However his focus is on Waterfront and Luxury properties because our resort market has shown a great increase in buyers coming to our area over recent years looking for these properties. Buyers, as well as Sellers, need a reliable REALTOR to help them make good decisions. His easy going style and friendly joking personality is what bring his clients back when they decide to upgrade or downsize and why he is still receiving referrals from past clients that were happy with his services.
Gary lives in Boyne City with his dachshund, Frankie.
