Meet Shonda Lovejoy!
Shonda Lovejoy is a licensed Illinois REALTOR®, and property management professional specializing in condominiums throughout the city. As a Chicago native, she understands the uniqueness of Chicago and navigates its many neighborhoods with ease with a particular focus in the South Loop, Oakland, Kenwood, Bronzeville, Hyde Park, and Beverly.
In many ways, Real Estate is in Shonda's blood. Her father, and mother, former real estate sales agents, were Real Estate investors who purchased, managed, and flipped properties throughout the '80s and '90s before it became trendy on HGTV.
In her youth, Shonda spent summers answering phones at her mother's brokerage, setting up and attending open houses, and accompanying her mother on property tours. It is during these primary years; Shonda learned the finer points of residential property sales and leasing.
In addition to a Broker's license, she holds a Community Association Manager (CAM) and Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) license.
Shonda's experiences selling properties in the early 2000s, in addition to her current leasing and management experience, gives her a competitive edge when advising, negotiating, and advocating on behalf of investors and landlords alike.
When she is not working Shonda enjoys traveling to destinations famous for sand, sun, and umbrella cocktails. She also enjoys sampling boutique tequila varieties, reading, shopping, and fine dining.
