Eric Walstrom is the co-CEO of @properties Christies' International Real Estate Michigan, Detroit's #1 brokerage and the nation's 8th largest brokerage firm by sales volume (REALTrends 500)
Eric began his career in 2005, in downtown Detroit, focusing on adaptive re-use/new construction development projects such as The Book Cadillac Residences, The Griswold, and mixed use residential commercial projects. After the financial collapse of 2008, Eric began working as Director of Acquisitions for a private investment firm focused in the single family asset space amassing $800M acquisitions over a 4 year span.
Eric and his co-CEO Alex Irrer founded Alexander Real Estate in Royal Oak in 2013. In 2018, they opened an office in Midtown, and over the next three years they built Alexander into the #1 brokerage firm in downtown Detroit.
Recognizing the opportunity to offer clients even more in the way of technology, marketing and services, Alexander Real Estate joined @properties Christie's International Real Estate in 2021 as the nation's first @properties franchise.
Today, @properties Christie's International Real Estate maintains the same local ownership but now offers the scale and resources of a leading national brokerage. Eric puts a heavy emphasis on culture, relationships and innovation and in just one year, the brokerage has doubled in sales. He is the driving force behind the company's expansion and has spearheaded the opening of offices in Detroit, Birmingham, and Grosse Pointe.
Eric is born and raised in Metro Detroit. He resides in Royal Oak with his family.
