Hello! My name is Alexa Aguilar Schwab. When my family and I decided to make the Fox Valley our home back in 2006, the number of local restaurants and shops wowed me, not to mention the beautiful parks, libraries and festivals. I grew to love the area's unique charm and sense of community.
For several years, I worked as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune, writing about everything in the Fox Valley -- from historic preservation meetings to new business openings. When I decided to leave journalism, real estate was a natural fit. I use my journalism skills every day, whether it's helping to interview a family about what they are looking for in a new home or wading through tax records.
Since becoming a full-time Realtor in 2015, I've helped dozens of families with their home goals. My business philosophy is simple – be genuine, be honest and treat each client the way I would want my friends and family to be treated.
Along the way, I've enjoyed making my own home here in the Fox Valley and am dedicated to contributing to its strong sense of community and volunteerism. I'm a member of the city of Geneva's Strategic Plan Advisory Committee, the Geneva Library Foundation board, the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County, and the Williamsburg Elementary PTO.
